Oversee the hiring, training and the preparation of the 1200 rooms for the opening that are part of Phase III of the Loews Universal Cabana Bay Beach resort.

Helping in the day to day operations in various departments. Trained the new Front Office Manager. Opened the new Restaurant Bank and Bourbon.


Director of Operations 2012-2014

Oversaw the hotel’s financial, marketing, customer service and human resources operations (41 managers and 280 unionized and non-unionized employees). Develops effective communication and strong customer, client and supplier relationships to aid business retention (Customer & Client satisfaction). Ensure positive flow of communication develops good relationships with clients, customers and sets up quality monitoring procedures. Implements process to gain qualitative feedback about client and customer satisfaction

o Helped reposition the hotel in the individual customer sector, from fourth to first place in the 2012 and 2013 tourism seasons in our competitive set.
o Prepared and implemented a new operation model that helped improves operational viability from a $3 million loss to a $1.5 million profit.

Room Division Manager 1991 – 2011

Managed, coordinated and led the activities of the Front Office, Housekeeping, Parking and Reservation sectors (175 employees) and oversaw customer satisfaction. Responsible for implementing new Loews standards in the hotel. Planned and coordinated operations management for special events. Involved in hiring, training and evaluating personnel. Managed the budget envelope: cost and revenue management, preparation of budget forecast.

o Helped improve customer satisfaction rates, allowing the hotel to rise from 17th place to 12th place in the chain between 2008 and 2011.
o In 2008 and 2011, achieved 2nd place in the chain for hotel cleanliness satisfaction levels.
o Was a member of the Collective Agreement Negotiating Committee in 2008.

General Manager of Loews Hotel Vogue (January to April 2008)
Responsible and accountable for the day to day running of the business in its entirety. Managed the hotel’s revenues and expenditures. Oversaw the Sales and Marketing processes. Explored and suggested new business outlets and opportunities. Managed and motivated the hotel’s team.

Information Systems Manager (1993-2011)
Implemented the network throughout the hotel. Oversaw the operation of the hotel’s computer inventories (80 workstations, 20 printers and 6 servers). Installed upgrades. Responsible for purchasing computer equipment.

Revenue Manager ( 1991-2006 )
Provides support and advice to the Director of Sales, Finance Managers & General Managers in strategic planning and overall business goals relating to the Revenue achievement.

o Ensure that all target market segments are developed for the long-term benefit of the hotel’s business
o Monitor in statistical format, the pick-up patterns, lead times and business trends
o Work with the team to promote internal sales and the up selling of all facilities
